We inspire and train the next generation of leaders

The Music City All Stars staff is comprised of the best of the best in each style or genre they teach. Our staff is dedicated to growing the dancer as a whole and truly invested in each child. The owners, Kirstin Hawk and Valerie Reynolds, take pride in the elite staff they have as well as offering continued education and training for their instructors.

Our history

Music City All-Stars is a competitive program established 13 years ago in Middle Tennessee. Our studio has quickly grown in the last six years, and we continue to venture to make room for our growing program. Co-owners, Kirstin Hawk and Valerie Reynolds, recognized the need to prepare dancers for all avenues of dance upon graduation while providing a positive and family environment along the way. Music City All Stars now offers 50+ different team classes each week. From the most competitive, to those that use dance as an enjoyable activity, we have opportunities for everyone! Our initiative as a studio is to give our dancers well-rounded training in all styles including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, pom, lyrical and acro.

  Our goal

     Music City’s mission is to:

provide exceptional dance training to all kinds of dancers
help dancers achieve their goals, even when it seems impossible
encourage the dancers to shine in their artistic performances, but also within their academic performance

We are pleased to say that our Senior Travel Team has an average GPA of 4.0!

Benefits of Dance

Dancing isn’t just about the steps and music. It’s a perfect combination of physical activity, social interaction, and mental stimulation. Dancing enhances your life in so many ways!

FUN - Dancing is a great way to add excitement to your life. Although learning to dance takes concentration and dedication, you will be constantly surrounded by artistic, cheerful people who make learning a pleasurable and worthwhile experience. So join us and have some fun here at Music City All Stars!

HEALTH - When you dance, your cardiovascular system improves, your muscle tone increases and you burn calories. This low-impact aerobic activity also increases flexibility, strength, and balance. Olympic athletes often dance as part of their training to sharpen their control, agility, and speed. Dancing is great exercise, and Music City All Stars' offers a pleasant, fun atmosphere in which to learn the art of dance.

CONFIDENCE - Dancers maintain a quality of self-confidence and the ability to enjoy themselves more in social situations. When you learn how to dance, your entire mental viewpoint will take on a fresh sense of creativity, motivation, and energy. This new self-confidence in your dancing abilities will shift to other aspects of your life as well.

SELF-EXPRESSION - Dance provides an emotional outlet so that you can express your feelings through your body movements with passion and aptitude. Dancing will bring out, improve upon, and strengthen your ability to permanently use these powerful qualities even when you are not dancing.

SOCIAL - Dance lessons are an easy, low-pressure way to meet people. Music City All Stars provides nightly dance practices, team bonding gatherings, and regional, national and international competitions, as well as fun trips to many different locations across the country. Our studio is the perfect way to make your best friends!

RELAXATION - In today’s fast-paced world, we sometimes forget to take a moment for ourselves. Dancing provides an enjoyable outlet from your normal routine, plus a chance to relieve stress and concentrate on yourself.

MOTOR SKILLS - Whether or not sports are of interest, developing both gross and fine motor skills is crucial for children of all ages. Due to the various styles used during each practice, dance can improve motor skills and muscle memory starting from a very young age as they train even the most basic dance skills.

We connect kids with community

What our dance family is saying

Such an amazing environment for young girls and boys! It’s much more than a dance studio... It’s a family.

The amount of pride, teamwork and respect we see from the coaches to all the girls on her team really show us that she is not just part of a team, but a family.

"Best Decision"

I love Music City so much, and coming here was the best decision I’ve ever made!
